How to know when the time is right.
Hello, my awesome friends and welcome to another episode of The Hayley Osborne Show. I am so happy you’re here listening with me wherever you are today. Walking, in your car, cooking dinner!
Lots of things have been happening the last few weeks across my business which really prompted me to record this episode for you because I want to take you on the journey with me and share with you everything that’s come up along the way that you may also have felt on your business journey at some stage or another. OR are currently feeling this niggling feeling that something is not right, and you know you’re ready for BIG change, but you just haven’t landed on what that looks like for you yet. Then this episode is for you, keep listening.
As you know, my business has had a slight rebrand. Same look and feel, different name. My name. If you’ve been here since day one, you’ll know exactly how my story has gone so far and you’ll have noticed how my business has grown and changed since September 2018.
That’s how you keep moving forward! My journey has been awesome so far AND it’s going to become a WHOLE lot more awesome for you. I’ve worked with hundreds of small businesses over the years, who are essentially the backbone of the economy leading me to be able to understand exactly what those pain points to get to achieving that “top of mind” status within their local communities both online and offline.
So, not only do I now have this podcast, cleverly named “The Hayley Osborne Show” I now also have Hayley Osborne. She has arrived. It was time to transition over to myself as my personal brand and really step into the Hayley Osborne bright light. This shoe is much more comfy appearing as myself! So say hello, I’m me and I’m here to stay!
My Instagram is now @hayleykosborne which you would have seen the changeover if you follow me over on there as well.
My Facebook page has also had an upgrade!
There are awesome things coming to you, local serviced based businesses, to help you excel in your marketing so stay tuned later in the week for the next BIG announcement on how you can uplevel your marketing to SUPERHERO status and be the best in your community.
I’ve had so many people reach out to me asking how I knew I was ready to transition my brand into what felt right. How was I not scared, along with so many more questions, so I thought I would record some of my learnings on how to break through that barrier of uncomfortableness. Smash that glass ceiling in order to stand on the new and improved foundation and version ready for your future self.
Risk is scary, but without risk there is no reward. Simple as that.
How to break through your FEAR barrier
Fear is defined in the dictionary as “an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain, or harm.” Yes, I looked it up. Now, note the word *threat*. Threat is just that, it means it MIGHT happen, but hasn’t happened yet, and is our bodies natural response to things that feel uncomfortable, and that’s ok. It’s how we work through those things and get to the other side that defines us and essentially helps us to personally grow and grow our business on a super speedy trajectory like no other.
I’ve really made some brave bold decisions across my business and the feelings these decisions have bought up have not been super comfortable feelings, but ones of fear and being a little scared of change along the way.
Were they risky? Yes. Did I need to make them in order to grow? Heck yes!
The flip side of that for me was far worse, which was staying stagnant in the same place and feeling disconnected, which is not what I’m about. I’m sure, because you’re listening to this podcast, it’s not what you’re about either.
So, when it comes to your marketing and your business becoming the NUMBER 1 in your local community, online and your surrounding areas, (hello MY ZONE OF GENIUS), it’s my responsibility to help you not feel stuck, not feel overwhelmed, to overcome the fear and not feel like you don’t know what your next move is.
I’ve put together a checklist for you to make sure you are ticking off the fundamentals:
“The 10 essentials every local area marketing plan needs checklist”. You can get this now by going to my website www.hayleyosborne.com and you’ll see it right at the very top waiting for you.
This is a blueprint to help you get started and just one of the many tools I have for my clients so they know all the components of marketing and can max the effort, in an easy-to-understand way, along with all the opportunities that come with it.
Action is the best antidote to fear.
What’s the worst thing that can happen? You don’t regret what you did. You regret what you didn’t do. So it’s time to take action. Which is what I did by changing my brand over (and there is more to come). My jam is marketing, helping service-based business owners become the NUMBER 1 in their local community, both online and surrounding areas. So it was really time to step into that light, niche down and really showcase this throughout everything I do, touch, stand for, which included my name. Hayley Osborne is where it’s at. I want you to try to image what would be the worst possible outcome of your fears and write it down. Doesn’t seem so bad right! When you put things in writing or even say them aloud your mind tends to calculate things differently. With perspective. With logic and with rationale.
Control your story by changing your story
One way I like to be able to control my story and how things evolve both personally and in my business is to firstly write them down, followed by taking serious action. I am by nature an action taker. When I set my mind to do something, I just do it. Journaling has become super powerful for me and this might be something you start to practice in your day and week in order to overcome your fear, get comfortable making brave decisions in order to accelerate your growth.
Journaling sounds so woowoo I know, but it’s true and it’s helped me set clear directions as to how I want my business to go and my life. Now, I’m not talking about journaling in the shape of a diary, but in the shape of asking myself one question every day and writing the answer. This is kind of like future proofing as well because it makes you super intentional about your goals and how you will achieve them. If you’re not sure of the questions there are so many different prompts in various phone apps out there, you just need to find the right one that works for you.
Take bite size pieces
If fear is holding you back in making a decision, one thing I like to do is take bite size pieces to bring that goal and brave decision you are about to make closer. If you’re thinking you know you need to reach more people within your business, then uplevelling your marketing and upskilling yourself is that bite size piece in order to get there. By incorporate this throughout your day in small ways, it will make the decision less scary when it comes time to make the brave decision to accelerate your growth. Things like listening to this podcast is one of them, so well done YAY!
