Episode 59: The best vs worst things you can do to market your business

March 27, 2023

Hello, my beautiful friends and welcome to another episode of The Hayley Osborne Show. I’m Hayley and I am so glad you’re here. This is episode 59.

Today is a GRAND day as today marks the final day of my launch week. If you’ve been following along as the cheerleader, I know you are, you would have seen it’s been a total blast and buzz to open the doors to my signature membership, Superhero Marketing. I have welcomed new members into my program which I am so excited to support and uplevel their businesses.

I love when I can impart my knowledge onto business owners so they can level up and create more profit and more revenue in their businesses (YOUR BUSINESS) which in turn creates more impact on this world, is like ripple rainbow effects for the economy and everyone wins. Therefore, ultimately you, the business owner are left with more choice.

Deep breath, but it is all so true.

The more people I can help, the more they can help others with their businesses spreading their gifts further and wider.

Which helps more people and so on and so fourth. Pretty cool hey.

I also love sharing with you how much I am growing and sharing each of the business owners as they have come into the membership over on my socials, which you would have seen. It’s just wonderful. I share this so you can see what is possible for you as well.

Why wouldn’t you want to grow as a business! Why wouldn’t you want to make more revenue, more profit, more wealth. It’s just lovely.

Small businesses are what makes the world go round and it’s my goal to educate as many of you as possible to make the right changes in your businesses so you can have the right impact that match your own business goals.

I hope you have been playing along at home and really enjoying my true energetic style!

Today’s episode is all about the best and worst strategies for marketing your business.

Let’s start from the top.

Not having a plan

Is one of the worst ways to market your business. Absolute fail.

What are you talking about on your social media?

What are you getting on your stories every day and chatting about?

How are you adding proper value to your audience if you don’t have a plan?

Creating an effective marketing plan can be a daunting task, I know, especially if you’ve never done one. But it doesn’t have to be.

Within Superhero Marketing it’s my job to arm you with the best tactics to be able to include in your plan to reach more of your ideal clients. This is something I teach inside the membership. Every masterclass is on a different element of the very large marketing pie with actionable results attached to it. SO you are armed with the right tools, so much energy, motivation and support to take away and implement change in your business.

Having a plan is the best way to market your business.

Feels pretty good to know where you’re going.

Who you’re talking to.

What your messaging looks and sounds like.

Understand where you’re positioning yourself in the market feels pretty bloody awesome.

By utilising some awesome tools, like automating parts and pieces of your business so you can free up time to work on needle moving stuff is where all the feels are at.

With these simple steps and my helpful guidance, anyone can create a successful strategy.

Having an effective marketing strategy is a key element to your business success. I’ve seen it time and time again in all its glory. I’ve built them for many clients, and I have witnessed first-hand what happens when you go all in and activate on what you set out to achieve. You have to be the “doer” in your business in order for you to see growth.

Put pen to paper and set up space in your week to bite off the parts and pieces you need to, in order for your business to grow.

Working on your business is HARD and it isn’t an instant money-making activity. Which is why I know most businesses find it difficult. But if you want to grow, this is a necessary evil.

Setting up paid advertising before you are truly ready is one of the worst ways to market your business (and waste money)

I am talking about FB, Insta and Google Ads.

If you don’t have the right funnels set up to lead your audience gently into your business, you are most definitely wasting your money. What works and what doesn’t is getting tricker and tricker. So be clever about this, see what your competitors are doing and carefully work it out.

Showcasing your thought leadership all year round is one of the best ways to market yourself.

This adds huge value to your business.

Marketing and putting yourself out there all year round is important, which is why having a plan creates a frictionless way to market. It accesses your thought leadership, positioning you as an expert in your field and in turn when you go to sell something, people are already geared up to buy from you.

Don’t be marketing, only when you have something to sell

You want to remain top of mind throughout the year so when your ideal client needs you, you’re the first thing they think of. For example, you’re a retail-based business so you really need to be marketing all year round, not just Christmas time when you are likely to have your biggest month in business.

Avoid pleasing everyone in your marketing

Attempting to please everyone with your marketing strategies is an exercise in futility; you should focus instead on connecting with potential customers who are most likely to be interested in purchasing your product or service.

Avoid setting unrealistic timelines for yourself

This is one of the biggest ones and worst ways to market your business. Panic marketing. Panic posting. Expecting things to turn around and happen yesterday is a sure fire way to achieve the opposite.

I have a question for you?

What’s the difference between a business that has their marketing all figured out and you?

The only difference between “them” and you, is they have all the right marketing foundations in place to be able to grow their business with ease, no second guessing, no making stuff up, no flying blind and achieving big results in the process. This does not need to be hard, and that’s where I step in to show you how.

Being the Superhero Marketer in your business takes knowing where to start, persistence to get there and consistency to create the right marketing mix that works for you.

As I mentioned earlier, today is the last day doors are open for my signature membership, Superhero Marketing.

Within my awesome program, I’ll be showing you the simplest, step by step way to bring my proven strategies into your business, use all my templates, guides, copywriting, and methods to work to your advantage.

Superhero Marketing will help you grow your business without feeling overwhelmed by the seemingly complicated word “marketing”.

All the tools I use to grow my private clients’ businesses and my own are ready and waiting for you swipe and implement into your business with ease.

I’m here for it and I am here for you and I do hope I’ve inspired you to start marketing your business to its fullest potential and really step into becoming the NUMBER 1 in your local community. Now is the time, don’t wait and let yet another day, week, month or year pass you by.

Thank you so much for listening with me today and I hope to see you inside Superhero Marketing to help you soar to superhero status.

If you have any questions about anything I’ve said, feel free to drop me a DM on Instagram @hayleykosborne which is where I hang out the most. I’m always up for a great chat.

Xx Hayley
