Let’s chat about how to make your content more shareable
Reality check: There is no “ONE” secret to creating content that goes viral.
However, there are a few things you can do to make your content more likely to be shared.
Today I wanted to talk to you about what makes content shareable, its benefits, and some tips on how to make your content more engaging for your audience.
Firstly:
Well-written content is more likely to be shared than poorly written content. This means that your content should be free of errors, and it should flow smoothly from one point to the next. Your content should be visually appealing content because it is also more likely to be shared than dull or boring content. This means that your content should be easy on the eyes, with plenty of white space and relevant images. The big one: truly original content is more likely to be shared than rehashed or unoriginal content. So, if you’re looking to make your content more shareable, aim for these three key elements!
Secondly:
Your audience will engage with you more, talk about your content to others and love to share your content when it’s funny, inspiring, or informative. After all, sharing is a great way to connect with others and show them that you care. That’s why content that makes people laugh, think, or learn is more likely to be shared than content that doesn’t serve any purpose.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that all serious content is doomed to obscurity. Sometimes, a thought-provoking video can spark an important conversation that needs to be had. However, if your goal is to get people to share your content, it’s a good idea to focus on creating something that will make them smile, think, or learn.
How to make your content more engaging
As a content creator, it’s important to always be thinking about how to make your work more engaging for your audience. There are a few simple strategies you can use to instantly improve the level of engagement with your content. First, try and put a big focus on creating catchy headlines that accurately reflect the topic of your content. Then, be the storyteller you know you can be to draw your audience in and keep them hooked until the very end.
Don’t forget to add those visual elements like infographics, words and GIF’s to help to add layers of interest. By using these simple tips, you can be sure that your audience will stick around for the long haul!
Tips for creating viral content
Creating viral content is the dream of every business owner. After all, what could be better than having your content shared countless times, reaching a vast audience, and creating a buzz around your brand and business? While there’s no sure-fire recipe for creating viral content, there are a few things you can do to increase your chances of success.
Focus on creating content that is unique and interesting. I will say that viral content is often unexpected and deeply thought-provoking, so do your best to aim to stand out from the crowd.
Make sure your content is easy to consume and share. If your audience need to work hard to understand or share your content, it’s unlikely to gain traction.
Try to tap into current trends and hot topics. If you can ride the wave of a trending topic, it will help your content to go viral. Take the J-Lo images for example that get thrown around, anything famous that comes out of Kardashian land as well as sex and the city memes. Jump in, if the shoe fits (and only if it fits) and ride that wave.
Tools and resources to help you create shareable content
Creating shareable content doesn’t have to be a daunting task. There are plenty of tools and resources available to help you get the job done. For starters, consider using a content calendar to plan and organise your ideas. This will help you ensure that your content is timely and relevant. Once you’ve got a good idea of what you want to write about, it’s time to start creating. If you’re not sure where to begin, try using an online template or tool like Canva.
These platforms make it easy to create beautiful visuals without any design experience. And once your content is created, don’t forget to promote it! Make sure to share it on your social media.
Honestly, with a little planning and effort, your content will be sure to stand out from the crowd.
The last thing I really want to say about shareable content is in and around your website or your blog. If you have either of these, they can be really powerful marketing tools. When your audience share your blog or your website, it helps to increase your brand awareness and reach a wider scope which is exactly what we want.
Shareable content is essential for any business looking to increase its reach and brand awareness. By using the tips I’ve talked about today, you should be on your way to creating content that is both interesting and easy to share.
With a little effort and time spent working “ON” your business, you can see your content go viral and achieve amazing results. It’s time to take yourself out of your day to day and take a periscope view on exactly what makes you tick and go for it!
The world is your oyster as they say.
