I am here to teach you as much as I possibly can when it comes to marketing your business and becoming the number 1 on your local area both online and offline.

Let’s chat “time hacks” and specifically time hacks in your business. If you’re anything like me, you’re doing all the things at the same time while having a million cool ideas running around your head as well as heaps of other things you could be doing.

AND in saying this you need some great hacks to make sure everything is getting done to the absolute best of your ability, while saving time, while you’re ruling the world. Not too much to ask right!!

Being efficient is a priority to me which is why I wanted to create this episode for you in the hope I can pass on some of these efficiencies to you to include in your business’s day to day.

In 3 weeks, on November 8th, doors to my membership, Superhero Marketing open for the second time ever, ready to welcome business owners like you to become the number 1 in your local community both online and offline. I have become laser focused on using my energy where it matters most in order to continue to bring amazing value to my audience AKA you.

In my life right now, I have 2 young children and it’s important to me as a mum to be present all the time, so when they’re napping or cared for I need to bring it like a mo-fo if you know what I am saying. I LOVE what I do and it’s my passion which makes all this great fun.

We all know running a business can be one of the most rewarding things to do, on the flip side, can be time-consuming and overwhelming. But with the right tools and strategies in place, you can save time and streamline the absolute shiz out of every dang thing. Here are seven hacks to help you do just that.

1. Avoid multitasking, which can actually waste more time

Multitasking has become a necessary skill in today’s fast-paced world. We are constantly bombarded with stimuli, and it can be difficult to focus on just one thing. However, recent research has shown that multitasking can actually waste more time than it saves.

When we try to do two things at once, our brain has to switch back and forth between tasks, which takes time and energy. This can lead to mistakes and decreased productivity, which is what we don’t want.

Multitasking can put a strain on our mental resources and lead to more stress and anxiety. Ahh no thanks! So the next time you find yourself trying to do two things at once, take a deep breath and focus on one task at a time. You’ll be surprised at how much more efficient you’ll be.

2. Do the hard thing first

Actually, do the 2 most hard things on your list first.

This will make you feel FAB! I guarantee you will feel like you are kicking goal after goal when you get those 2 hard things done. Procrastination affects everyone from time to time but if you know you’re under a time limit then it’s much easier to avoid. Imagine how much more you could get done, including those hard tasks if you didn’t procrastinate!! So do the hard thing first. Then give yourself a reward like grabbing a coffee! That’s what I do.

3. Automate your business processes as much as possible

Automating your business processes can save you a lot of time in the long run. In fact, it can be a game-changer for your business, freeing up your time to focus on other things. There are a number of ways you can automate your business processes, from using Automation Software to setting up Automated Workflows.

Automation Software can automate repetitive tasks such as appointment scheduling, data entry, email responses and social media posts. Automated Workflows can automate more complex processes like your lead nurturing and customer onboarding. By automating your business processes, you can optimize your efficiency and free up more time to work on the things that move the needle.

I go through how to automate different things within your business inside my membership, Superhero Marketing. Because why would you want to spend hours creating things from scratch when you can just use my plug and play templates, from social media, to email sequences, DM’s as well as the latest software.

4. Do a time audit on your day

If you’re looking for ways to save time, it’s time for you to do a time audit. Has anyone done this? Let me know over DM on Instagram if you have! I have, it was surprising and I learnt a lot. Basically, how it works is you write down every 20-30 minutes over one whole day what you are doing at that exact moment. Then, once the day is over you take a look over it and see where you’re wasting time OR being more efficient.

For example, if you go to make yourself a coffee and you wait for it to grind, then you “just” scroll some social media, you get lost in the scroll for 20 min in lala land, only to resurface to see your coffee is cold, so you heat it and by the time you get back to your desk 30 min has gone by! Yikes! What a way to waste some serious time. Guilty! I would have done this over the years at some stage for sure. Not any more though as my time is so precious and I am laser focused.

5. Delegate tasks to other people whenever possible

One of the most important skills for any business owner is knowing how to delegate. While it may be tempting to try and do everything yourself, it is simply not possible to be an expert at everything especially if you want to grow and SCALE your business.

REALITY CHECK – you’re not the only one that knows how to do your job or any other things around the house for that matter.

Outsourcing my cleaning was the first thing I did and at first it felt weird, but as my family has grown, I could not be more grateful for having the support of my cleaners. They’re awesome and I feel great because I am actually supporting their business as well.

The second thing I did was hire my full-time employee. Best decision ever! Not only does it take the pressure off me in so many ways, she helps to grow my business. And when my business grows, we all grow and I can help so many more business owners because of it. Again, this is such a great feeling. It also feels so empowering to actually let go and put your trust into someone else. Not the other way around.

6. Set aside specific times for work and stick to them

If you’re like most people, you probably have a long to-do list that never seems to get any shorter. One of the best ways to get more done is to set aside specific times for work and stick to them.

By carved out dedicated blocks of time for tackling your most important tasks, you can stay focused and avoid getting side-tracked. Time blocking is the best OH and day blocking. Now I have a young family, day blocking is more my style because I can’t do work and mum at the same time. When I try and do this no one gets the best of me as I have half a head in the game over here and half a head in the game over there! Ain’t no fun running around with half a head let me tell you. I tried it and found out the hard way that it just doesn’t work.

7. Take breaks or have a day nap

You know the feeling all too well – you’ve been working non-stop for hours on end and your eyes are starting to feel heavy. Your head hurts, your back is stiff and you can’t focus on anything anymore. You’re burnt out. It’s important to take breaks throughout the day to relax and rejuvenate, both mentally and physically. Otherwise, you’ll never be able to give your best performance.

Taking a break doesn’t mean you’re lazy – it just means you’re smart enough to know when you need some time to recharge. So next time you’re feeling overwhelmed, take a step back and give yourself a chance to relax.

You’ll be glad you did, and your mind will love you for it. That task that was taking you an hour to complete will take you 10 min with a fresh mind. Wooohooo!
