So today I’m just going to get straight into it, because you need to have a marketing system that is actually able to hold the income that you want to achieve. Because it’s all very well and good having these big, audacious goals, but if you do not have a system to back it up with and a process to handle what’s coming into your world, it’s going to fall apart, okay? And also, pretty much is like a bit of a leaky bucket, right?
So you’ve got beautiful inquiries coming in, but if you don’t have all of the foundations there to hold those inquiries coming into your world, then they are going to quickly leave if you do not have certain things set up. So today, I want to take you through what your marketing system actually needs to look like if you want to grow to 30k months. All right, because I think, new level, different devil. And when you have these big, great goals, I think you need to have big, great systems to support these great goals.
Otherwise, these great goals are short term. When they happen, they’re not long term. And I think last week, we spoke about that 2am problem, and I really like talking about that. And so this is kind of a nice segue or continuation from that. So I think that I know, you know, I see a lot of people that know that they’re good at what they do, so why isn’t their business growing the way it should? And I think that’s the toy and problem that everybody is having. So you’re not alone. And I want to take that one step further today, okay, because knowledge is power, and awareness is powerful. So when you know, you know better, you do better.
And I think that when you know the direction that you need to walk in to be able to change things, then you do change them, but if you don’t know, then how are you supposed to make the moves to be able to change those things in your world? So today, I want to walk you through what marketing actually needs to look like if you want to grow and if you want to grow consistently, if you want it to be something sustainable, without constantly feeling like you’re chasing your tail or throwing spaghetti at the wall because you have no idea what the hell you’re doing, but you’re just going through the motions because it sounds like you should, or because everybody is everybody else is doing it, and that’s not what I want for you.
So I think most business owners don’t have a marketing system, and that’s what I found working with so many of you, you have content, you’ve got ideas awesome, and you’ve got offers, so your services, but there’s no real structure that connects it all together. So it looks like posting when you’ve got time, which means you’re being inconsistent, showing what feels right in the moment, it’s haphazard, and talking about your offer your services here and there, and hoping that it leads to more people coming through the door and more clients.
And sometimes it does awesome, but it’s really inconsistent, and when it’s inconsistent, you doubt yourself, Am I doing the right thing? Like, am I setting myself up for success or failure? So what is a real system? What do you actually need to do? It’s clarity, okay? And it’s in knowing exactly what you’re saying, who you’re saying, it to where it’s leading, and how it converts. Okay, so I like to try and sum this up in what I call your transformation message. Okay, so who is your target market? What is the problem that you solve and what is the transformation that you provide? Okay? And once that’s in place, everything becomes really simple.
You stop guessing, and you start executing on these things, because that’s the kind of foundation that’s like your concrete slab before you build your house. So the next thing is the framework, okay, so I want to share one with that. It’s a four-part framework that I have built and used with my clients. And it’s simple, but it’s powerful when it’s done really properly, okay? So the first part is to build your brand base. All right? This is your foundation. Yes, this is who you help, what you help them with, and what you’re known for, okay? And I think this is where most people skim out, okay, because they’re broad, they’re. Safe. You’re playing it safe.
And when you’re clear, in this instance, in this brand, in this base, where your brand is sort of living, where the foundation starts from, the clarity is everything, okay? And when you are not so broad, your brand base becomes very strong, okay? And your content becomes obvious. Okay, so when I decided that it was time to really niche in on health brands, I did it on purpose, because most of my clients were already health brands, and I wasn’t talking to them, and it was staring me right in the face for so many years, and I just kick myself when I say it out loud, I get annoyed. Like, now I’m getting annoyed, but I’m glad that I finally recognized it just came and slapped me in the face one day, and I was like, oh, the Penny has dropped.
What was I doing? And I think I also felt a little bit like, well, give a shit, like I’m going to start, start actually talking to these people that are in my world, because that’s who is generally attracted to me to help them. And so, you know, your content becomes obvious. My contents become really obvious and it helps, and it works. The second part of four is being able to engineer your digital footprint, okay, so this is how your brand shows up online. This is where your website, your socials, your content is all aligned, okay? And does it build trust? That’s a good question for you to ask yourself, or does it create a bit of confusion? Okay, so this is the difference between somebody that lands in your world somewhere, and they make a really quick decision, because you’re very strong and certain about who you are and who you help, and you know what your purpose is, and the problem you solve, and all the things, or whether they Nick off and go somewhere else.
Okay, so if, if this whole footprint does not synergize with who you are and reflect the level that you either are or that you want to become, okay, you will lose that client before they even inquire to work with you or just learn more about what you are about. Okay, that’s number two. Number three is designing your messaging and your sales ecosystem.
And this is part of the ecosystem. Part is the connector. We all know what an ecosystem is. It’s the moving parts that thrive as one and individually help each other. Okay, so this is the connector, and it’s your content. Isn’t just content anymore. Every part of your content has a job, okay? And that is one of three things. It is to build massive trust with your audience, because we want authentic people in our world, and I see this more and more. We are clients I work with, and, you know, people I talk to, and just general conversations with friends and family and my networks is that polished content is getting boring, okay, and we connect way more with content that is real. So you’ve got to think about what that looks like for you.
Now, I don’t share my kids on my social media because they’re not my porn, and I refuse to, you know, I’m a mom, you know, I’ve got three little children, but I don’t share them. And so I’ve had to think about, well, what does that look like outside of that? Because they take up 90% of my world. And so what other things can I do that is fundamentally me and authentically me, that builds trust, that creates demand and leads people to my offers and your offers need to be clear, easy to understand, easy to say yes to because if people don’t understand, then how they’re going to work with you. Okay, they won’t.
They’ll go elsewhere. The fourth part of this is to activate your growth engine, and this is where momentum comes in, okay, this is lead generation, okay, that’s growth, okay, it is visibility, and it is how you become consistent. But here’s the key, okay, you don’t activate growth until the other three parts that I have spoken about are rock solid. Okay? Because more visibility when part one, your foundation is weak, it doesn’t fix the problem. It amplifies it. And the biggest mistake that I see is most businesses are doing this out of order.
Okay? They’re trying to be viral, trying to go viral, but they’re not clear, okay? And they’re trying to sell before they’ve done that trust building, all right? It takes about six weeks of being really, really consistent before somebody will even consider you in their repertoire. Think about that, six weeks. To be consistent, I’m going to say five days a week, seven days a week, knock yourself out. Consistency means not just six weeks. It means all year round.
If you want to build a business for 30k months, you’ve got to put in the work. It’s not just going to trickle down. It’s not going to come knocking at your door, going, here, you’re ready. Here you go, knock, knock, no. And you know, that’s why it feels really hard, but it is achievable when you have all of these motions in place. And I think because of the outer order type of marketing, that’s when you see the outer order type of results, okay, inconsistent results. Some 10k months, some 15, some five, some 20. It’s inconsistent, okay, but when it clicks, when your systems are in place, everything shifts, okay, your content feels easier. And when you’ve got a system to be able to create content, oh my gosh, it feels so much easier.
And this is something I take my clients through, and there are so many penny drop moments, and that makes me feel really good, but it’s actually very easy when you create and carve some time out for yourself to actually build in these systems. It’s not just one thing. It is many things for you to set your wake up for success, to be able to gather and capture and do all the things you need to do in order to have the output that you want that will make you more consistent and showing up, not in a chaotic, crazy way, not being super reactive, but this, this gives you the structure to be able to help you to grow over time, and then that consistency and that growth creates momentum in your business. It’s natural, but a lot of people don’t know how to build those foundations okay?
So I think that’s really one of the things I wanted to talk to you about today, and this is exactly the work that I do with my clients. We built this system together, right? So you’re not solely relying on motivation. And motivation is bullshit. Okay? It’s short term. Motivation is not going to help you build consistency. It’s discipline and having the right systems and processes in place for you to be able to build that consistency. Motivation is nothing, oh, it’s not nothing, but it’s not, it’s not going to last, because sometimes you feel motivated, and trust me, sometimes I don’t feel motivated, but I’ve got the right process and system in place to be able to that doesn’t matter to me, because I know that I’ve got to do it, and I know how I’m going to do it, and I’ve got everything set up, and it’s very clear, okay?
And that means that growth for me and for my clients and for you, is more predictable and it just happens. So if you’re feeling a little bit like your business is harder than it should be, take this as your sign. Okay. You don’t need to be doing more content. That’s not how it works. Okay? You need to build a better system. Because when you build a better system, and when your marketing is clear, your business follows, and that’s when you can hit those 30k months. Okay, I have been doing this a very long time, and I know what I’m doing.
