Hello and welcome to the Hayley Osborne show. I’m so glad you’re here today. Oof, it’s a big one. Okay, this is big. Today’s episode is episode 177. What happens when you finally mark it like you mean it, but today, oh, la, la.
Today is the first day of my big launch this year where doors are open to the magnetic marketing formula for the first time. And I’m excited. Okay, it’s the second time I have run this course, and yeah, so we’re here. Okay, this episode is dropping as the doors are open to this awesome eight-week course of mine, and I’m excited to share it with you, because today, though, I want to talk about what happens when you finally stop dabbling and start marketing like you mean it. And trust me, it changes every single thing in your business because of the shift that turns content into clients and websites into waitlists and your brand, if it’s been really blurry up until now.
You know, it becomes more vivid. And, you know, magnetic health brands then become part of everyone who wants to be part of a brand. So let’s go. I think, firstly, though, I want to share with you that there was a time in my own business where it was trying, I was trying really, really hard. And, you know, I was posting, I was tweaking my offers, my services, I was tweaking the whole repertoire inside of my business, and following a lot of the should too, of what I saw online. But nothing really felt aligned until I made a massive shift, and that was when I stopped treating my own marketing like it was a side task, okay?
And I started treating it like the most important energy exchange in my business, because it was now I, you know, I have a lot of clients, and they are first in my world, and they get all my energy. And I had to start treating myself like a client too. And you know, marketing isn’t and wasn’t just content, it was connection. So it was how I attracted the right people into my world. It’s how I built trust before people ever reached out to me and how I grew this business into something that supports my family, that supports my clients and supports my big vision, because I have a big, big vision, and I want to help as many health businesses as possible.
Now the reason is because I know these businesses, your business, helps support a healthy community. And a healthy community is a strong one, and that serves me well. I truly value my own health from a holistic perspective, you know, a medical perspective, a fitness perspective, like everything in and outside of my body. So I think once I started marketing, like, I mean, it with my own business.
And you probably think, yeah, Hayley, you’ve been showing up a lot. Well, I have, but now it is with more purpose, and it feels really aligned. I’m more confident because I have that clear vision, and I am, you know, more structured and that structure then, you know, we’re talking about following the bouncing ball here with all these things, everything changed. So you know, what does it mean to mark it like you mean it? Okay, let me break it down into three simple shifts. So the first is to stop mixing. That’s what it means.
To mark it like you mean it, and start standing out. So stop imitating what you see everyone else doing in your space. The best thing I ever did was unfollow so many people, or just mute them without unfollowing them, because some of them are my friends. But I think just don’t do it, because you need to be true to yourself. And if you’re constantly looking at what everyone else is doing, it blurs your vision to be clear. So when you do this, if you know, you stop imitating. You lead with more clarity. You have more focus on who you’re going to help, you have more clarity on why it even matters to you and how you start to change people’s lives. And that was really pivotal for me. And, yeah, okay, stop blending in.
Start standing out. That you’re probably thinking of Hayley, but you don’t blend in. You always stand out. But from this angle. It didn’t feel like that. And I think magnetic marketing starts when you own your space difference, and that’s how I feel. Over the last, you know, six months, I’ve started to do and do it with real gusto. The second one of my steps is to be more intentional and not so reactive, okay, so don’t wing it anymore. Winging It is for like, like, so last year, okay, just throwing a post up when you remember to start creating things with more structure. Build a rhythm, build a message.
And when you build the rhythm and the message and you have more structure, then you are purposefully building a brand that is becoming and will become more known. That’s what happens. Okay? And then when you start to show up like this, your marketing, your content, what you are putting out into the world, starts to do the heavy lifting for you, and it becomes in line with your strategy, and it no longer feels hard, okay? And that’s what marketing like you mean. It feels like the third one is to stop guessing, and you can only stop guessing when you start to implement the systems around that.
So I think that every health brand I’ve helped fill their appointment books, they didn’t just have great services, because I have no doubt in my mind that what you offer is awesome. They had systems that helped them show up when they were in consults, when they were in clinic, when they were with their families, when they were out being healthy themselves. Because I think marketing that works is marketing that works even when you’re offline.
Okay? It works for you when you are out doing the things that you want to do, okay, not around your business. So for me, that’s being with my family, and my marketing is still working beautifully. It’s so great. But my biggest question is, why does it matter now for health brands? So I think that it matters because you’re not just marketing a product. What you are talking about is building trust, okay? And it’s the trust factor that sets you apart and helps you to be relatable, helps people to trust you, and then they book a session with you, okay? And you, you specifically have to be trustworthy for people to share their health concerns with you, okay?
Because when people commit to getting cared for, okay, whether it be you know, whatever it is that you do, physio, Cairo, you are in the space of wellness. You are a masseuse. You are a beauty therapist. If you are helping people to feel better about themselves, you are a doctor, right? Then you need to build trust through your marketing. So when you finally start marketing like you mean it, the trust building factor makes you become the obvious choice, and that’s a really nice place to be.
