Hayley Osborne
Welcome to my podcast, the Hayley Osborne show. I’m so glad that you are here and I’m in your ears today for another Tuesday with me for some lessons. And where can we start? So to paint a picture in Adelaide right now, it is a rainy day, and I’m recording this episode on a Sunday, so it is daylight, which I love, but it is gloomy outside, and what we have had yesterday was so beautiful. It was a vibe.
There was just sun for days. It was 27. It was like shorts and a T-shirt. Weather, not too hot. You could get in the pool. It was so nice. But today is not that day. It is like the opposite, which sucks, but it’s still warm. So hence, like, if you’re watching on YouTube, I’m wearing a beautiful summer dress, but it’s raining weird. And I also have a beautiful cup of tea here ready to go, and it is cinnamon and spiced apple.
So I love my herbal teas, and even more so at the moment, because I am on a detox. I’m on a food detox, and it has been a wild ride this last week. So if you’re following along my social media, you will know, but yeah, it is four weeks that I’ll be doing this for, and it’s from nutritionist Sarah de Lorenzo, and so I’m following her four week gut repair plan.
Now, there was nothing wrong with my gut. There was nothing wrong with me. Every year, though, I just do a detox at one point or another, and I knew that it was right. I finished breastfeeding my last baby. You know, I still, like, can’t fit back into my like, small jeans. And I know everyone listening, you probably like, who cares? It’s not even that. It’s the fact that I just want my amazing wardrobe to fit me properly again.
And I was like, you know what? It’s time for a detox. Because if nothing changes, nothing changes. And that’s my mantra in life and business. And if you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know, you know I am when I’m in, I’m all in, I’m 100% in, and I don’t do things in halves, as you would have seen by two weeks ago, the launch of magnetic marketing formula, which is my signature eight week course, and we started last week, and all everyone inside has shown up and done the work the first week.
So let’s keep that momentum. So now, as we go into this week, we’re on to week two, and it’s all about your website and your SEO.
Okay? Because, you know, 99% of people Google you before you pick up the phone and you want to be the answer to their question. Okay? And I’m going to show you how to set up your website so that it is the answer to their questions inside week two of magnetic marketing formula. Now, if you miss the chance to join, you can actually join the waitlist for when I opened doors in 2026 again, for the eight-week course. You do get some amazing bonuses if you join through the wait list. So you can do that anyway.
Let’s learn more about me now. So I’m doing a gut repair plan. So by Sarah de Lorenzo, she’s a clinical nutritionist, and there’s four weeks laid out of epic meals. So we’ve got breakfast, mid-morning, snack, lunch, afternoon, snack and dinner. Now some days are really, really light and some days are a bit heavier. But when I say heavier, I don’t mean heavy. I mean I haven’t this week. I haven’t had any coffee these last seven days, any coffee, any dairy, any bread, any sugar, any refined foods at all. It’s been a colorful rainbow of amazing foods.
And you know, I said to myself, I’m going to take a video and a photo of everything I’m eating, and then I’m going to make this beautiful reel for my socials. I’m going to write a blog about it, and I probably will write a blog, but oh my gosh, I have been that bloody hungry that once I have finished preparing, like my husband and I are doing it together. So that really, really helps. When I finish preparing, like lunch or dinner, I’m just going to eat it. I’ve just been eating it, and I’m like, crap. I forgot to take a photo, and that was early in the week.
So now that my body has adjusted, and I’ve probably lost about two and a half kilos, maybe three kilos, this week. So it works, and we’re doing it for four weeks. So the start of it is like, week one is cleanse and detox the gut. Week two, I’ve got the book here, and I am, like, obsessed with reading it as well. So there’s a little information you need to know about the gut and how it really is healthy for you. I swear, if I didn’t run this business, I’d be obsessed with helping businesses in the health space to grow in a marketing sense, and, you know, in a really strategic sense, I would have been a brand manager.
To a past life for some of the biggest brands in the world, and I just the health space is where I’m meant to be. I honestly would have been a nutritionist or, yeah, no, I think a nutritionist just in the food nutrients health space, because I just love I love this so, so much. And then Week two is heal and repair.
So we’re all we’re talking about the gut, because the gut is this step that stems from everything, so it creates a lot of information in your body. If your gut isn’t right, week three is rebuilding your gut, and then week four, so there’s also no red meat, and I haven’t had the only thing I’ve had in the last seven days is salmon, because, yeah, that’s it. And I’ve had a lot of beans, and I’ve actually had tofu too. If you want to know, like, I can DM me on Instagram if you want to have a look at the meal plan for week one, and I’ll send a photo to you.
I’ve sent it to a few people, actually, and then Week Four is sealing the way forward menu plan. Okay, so it’s just and honestly, like I said at the start, this is also about incorporating some new things into my normal week of eating. So when everything goes back to normal, I found some recipes here that I absolutely love. And you know, some of the things that kids don’t eat. So I’ve been cooking for them separately.
And my husband does a lot of cooking too. So it’s actually lightened the load a lot. But some of them, they have been eating like there was some spinach, no, yes, some zucchini and spinach fritters in here too. And my baby, my one-year-old, had those. We had them for lunch, and then I made them. I had some for him for dinner and he had some rice and other things too with that. But he loved them. And so the kids are eating some of this too, but, you know, with rice, or they’re having pasta or whatever.
Now, I know this is so off normal, my topic that I normally talk about, and I’m going to get to the topic of today’s podcast. But you know what happens when you actually feel good? And this is what happens. And so the meal plan has been very interesting. I have loved the way that Sarah de Lorenzo thinks and the way she writes about food, and the menu is amazing. And I was very hungry the first few days, but now I’m not, and now I just feel like my skin is amazing, my whites in my eyes. You know what? I have three young children. I’m tired, and that’s just the way it is, but they are getting whiter.
I’ve had a lot of turmeric, I’ve had a lot of ginger, and I’ve had a lot of lemon. Yeah, it’s just been a lot of colorful foods, and it’s amazing. So I think it has a direct correlation to business. So you know what happens when you actually feel good. Now, I felt good before, but now I feel like I’ve just felt amazing. I do. I really feel amazing. And I’m not like blowing my own horn at all. I mean, this is my podcast, so I’m allowed to say whatever I want, and you’re listening, which you know obviously means that you like what I have to say.
But I think when your body feels good, your business changes, too, and that has made me realize something huge. And I kind of knew this already, and I always have been super fit. And you know, now that I’m back lifting weights at the gym, it’s just the next level, and I love the community that’s there. So I’m doing like a complete overhaul, and I’ll do like one run a week now, maybe two, but I am doing more like HIIT training, and it feels really good.
But I wanted to talk about diving into more. Feeling Good isn’t a luxury, okay, and it’s more of a business strategy, because when you feel good, and here’s what I’ve noticed, when your body is inflamed or undernourished, so when you are lacking sleep because you are smashing it out, you are being a mom, being, you know, a wife, you know your life happens, being a good friend, being a sister, being a daughter, all the things you’re looking for Other ways to help you get energy, and that can come in the form of poor foods.
Okay, so carbs, sugar, and you know what? I absolutely, absolutely, absolutely, absolutely, labs, which was probably the catalyst for this. What is going on? Band, oh, what happened here? Oh, my gosh, okay, Garage Band, you’re gone. And what’s. Here with my video. What’s going on here? How long has this not been working? Okay, do you know what if that wasn’t working? I’m going to take the audio anyway, because what I said was amazing. So sorry, Garage Band, but you were not my friend today for some reason.
And I think I’ll just, you know what? You just have to go with the flow. I’m not going to repeat what I said, because it was amazing. Okay, so no longer using Garage Band for this episode, because this episode is a cracker. And here we are, so where was I? Huh? Okay, let me just like, rephrase where I was for some reason. Oh, your cheeky little garage band. I had it all worked out, and then technology is great until it doesn’t work. Okay? That’s what I was saying.
Okay, so when you are inflamed or undernourished, if you are business owners, we’re all tired, but it’s like this train that you just can’t get off of, okay? And we start becoming reactive instead of proactive. And then what I found is, let’s go back to marketing, which is why you’re listening to this podcast. Your creativity becomes really dull, and then your patience becomes really short, and then your marketing feels really forced. Okay, but when your gut and your life are in rhythm, I think that you stop chasing shortcuts, and that’s something that I found throughout this process. Even the last few weeks, I think I’ve been making sharper decisions, knowing that I’m making these extra decisions in my life, and I’m trusting myself more.
And I think that feeling good doesn’t just make you happier, it makes you clearer, okay. And I realized that, you know, my energy is like leaking out all over the place, and I wasn’t even aware of it, you know, scrolling, snacking, overthinking, and I think that once I started fueling myself properly, it was like, like, there was a penny that dropped it over, probably, like, three or four days ago, and I just wasn’t aware of it. And my brain was like, oh, thanks, Hayley. But I think my thoughts now feel really organized, and my ideas are coming a lot faster, and things are sounding more like me. We’re back to sort out whatever happened with my amazing Logitech camera, my webcam, somehow it just decided that it didn’t want to work anymore.
Whatever. Okay, we are working. We’re cooking with gas. Now. Why? I’m back. So I wanted to say, when you actually feel good, your message lands differently because, because it’s not just your words, it’s your truth. Okay? You are your marketing energy, and your energy doesn’t lie. Okay? I think this is also a detox. It just hasn’t been about food. For me, it’s been about a mindset cleanse too. And after my launch, it probably couldn’t have come at a better time. And I think we get addicted to urgency. As business owners. When you are fast paced, we get addicted to the rush, the next project, the next win, what’s next?
But I think when you slow down and you nourish your body with colorful foods, I think you stop, you know, running your business like a sprint, and start treating it like a marathon, because the sprinted run business is never going to last. It is not in it for the long haul, you will not survive. Okay, it is a marathon. Running your business is a marathon, if you want to be in it for a long time. I’ve been in business eight years now. And you know, 4.5 of those, I’ve been having babies. And so, you know, if I hadn’t had babies, would it grow? Have been growing a lot faster, probably, but I’m just building that’s all I’m doing, okay?
And I’m right where I need to be now. And I think, you know, I realize that success isn’t about squeezing more in, okay? It’s about expanding your capacity to handle it all with clarity and calm. And I feel like motherhood and being a business owner is so alike. It’s not funny. You have to be really nimble, you have to be reactive, and you need to do it in a calm way. Otherwise, all the wheels fall off and she hits the fan in the house, and all the wheels fall off, and she hits the fan in the business, if you don’t do it that way.
So if you’ve been running on coffee and cortisol, okay, this is your sign to pause. Eat something real. Walk outside. Breathe deeply, because your next breakthrough. Probably isn’t waiting inside another strategy session. It’s waiting in somewhere that is calmer, cleaner, clearer and more grounded veg, grounded veg, grounded veg, grounded veg, grounded veg, grounded veg, grounded veg, grounded veg, grounded veg, grounded veg, grounded veg, grounded veg, grounded veg, grounded veg, grounded version, grounded version, grounded version, grounded version, grounded version one that I have, and now my camera is off.
For some reason I just touched that, and I don’t know, come on, mister camera. Oh boy. We’re having a really good time today, but I’ve been calmer with everything. I’m sleeping a lot deeper, and I’m writing with so much flow. It’s amazing. And I think that feeling good doesn’t just impact your body, okay, it changes the way that you lead and the way that you create and the way that you connect. And I think Imagine if every health business owner actually embodied that message. Imagine how every business owner, if they embodied that message, how that they would feel, and imagine how magnetic that vibe would be.
And that is a real ripple effect of living your brand 100%. So if there’s anything that you take away from this episode, let it be this food and feeling good is your business strategy. You can’t pour clarity from a foggy brain or enthusiasm from an empty tank. You can’t do it. And you know you can pour from an empty cup if you’re busy, you have to when you’ve got small children like you can’t say to me that I can’t pour from an empty cup because I have no choice. I have to show my three little humans. You know, they need help. They need to be dressed every day, and someone’s got to do that. And that person is me.
They need to have their teeth cleaned every day or reminded because they don’t do that. And that person is me. So you can pour from an empty cup, but fueling your body with amazing food is the first step towards clearing a foggy brain and having a fuller tank. And I think your health fuels your creativity. And I am naturally creative as a person, and I naturally eat really well, but following this meal plan, honestly, has been next level. And you know, your energy fuels your growth, and everyone watching from the outside can see it, and your well-being fuels your brand 100% it does. And you deserve to feel amazing, and not as a reward for working hard, either, but as the foundation for being kind to yourself and for the kind of business that you are building, and also the life that you’re building. Because if you’re listening to this, I’m sure that I’m right.
