Let’s be real: Health and wellness needs to be a business strategy. When you’re building a business and raising small humans, your own health is often the first thing to fall off the list. I know this because I’ve lived it, through three babies, three postpartum rebuilds, and the ever-demanding rhythm of entrepreneurship.
But over the years, I’ve realised something: if I don’t take care of me, everything else wobbles. My energy, my creativity, my patience, my clarity, they all start to unravel. That’s why I’ve learned to make wellness non-negotiable, even in the busiest seasons of life and this is my busy season.
And no, I don’t have a picture-perfect routine. But what I do have is a system of small, consistent practices that keep me grounded and feeling good.
Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how I make my wellness work for me, with the thinking that maybe it might help you as well:
1. Movement Is My Medicine
I move my body most days and not because I’m trying to “bounce back” or hit a goal weight. I do it because it shifts my mindset. Whether it’s a run, a strength session, or just a walk to clear my head, movement helps me reconnect to myself and it also brings in so much creativity and new ideas.
Getting stronger physically has made me more resilient emotionally and mentally. It’s one of the best ways I fill my own cup.
2. Sleep Is Sacred
I still do the late-night hustle because this is my life, but I am strategic about it. I work Sunday night, Monday night and sometimes Tuesday nights, and the rest of the week I treat as my sleep temple. Sleep is one of my most important business strategies, because when I’m rested, I can think clearly, serve better, and handle life’s curveballs with more grace.
Protecting my sleep means setting boundaries around screen time, working hours, and evening commitments. I’ve learned the hard way that rest isn’t a reward, it’s a requirement.
3. Smart Supplements + Skincare Rituals
Some of the things I’ve added into my routine recently have had a big impact with minimal effort. These are some of my favourite wellness “micro habits”:
✔️ Collagen supplement: I use VidaGlow and have truly noticed the difference in my skin, nails, and hair. It’s an easy addition to my daily routine and helps me feel supported from the inside out. Check it out HERE
✔️ Body brushing: A few times a week, I take 2–3 minutes to dry brush before showering. It feels amazing and I can honestly say I can feel the boost in my circulation instantly, I love the fact it exfoliates, and just makes me feel more energised, even if it is done at night.
✔️ Habit-stacked face masks: I do a face mask twice a week, usually on Sundays and mid-week, while I’m already doing something else, like hanging the washing or getting some work done. That habit stack has been such a game changer. It’s simple, effective, and it actually happens.
✔️ The Trinny London ‘Plump Up’ microneedle tool: I’ve been using this a few times a week and honestly, it’s made my skin feel fresher, tighter, and more glowy. It’s become a tiny but meaningful ritual in my week. This is what I do for me, it may or may not work for you but it is a small habit in my weekly health and wellness that makes me feel awesome. 4. Food & Hydration That Supports Me
I’m not restrictive, but I’m intentional. I eat foods that fuel me, not ones that leave me feeling sluggish. I drink lots of water (like, probably more than you’d think) because I know how quickly dehydration affects my mood, skin, and energy.
5. Energy Protection = Clarity + Calm
I’ve learned to be fiercely protective of my energy. That means:
Being sacred around my calendar. The best thing I have ever done. I run a tight ship and those in my world have now come to know the days I am free for meetings, my baby days and work days. When you start to share these things with the world, the world around you notices and plays along. It’s a liberating feeling.
Saying no when something doesn’t align
Planning my week around my natural energy peaks
Creating white space in my calendar
Knowing when I need to pause, reset, or step away
Protecting my energy has given me more clarity, helped me avoid exhaustion, and ultimately made me a better business owner, mum, and human.
6. Wellness Is a Business Strategy
This isn’t about having an influencer-level routine or ticking every self-care box. It’s about tuning into what works for you.
When I feel good, my work flows. I show up with more confidence, more creativity, and more joy. I can handle the juggle better, and still have something left for myself at the end of the day.
That’s what I want for you, too.
My Final Thoughts
You don’t need to overhaul your life to feel well. You just need small, meaningful habits that support your health in the season you’re in.
Whether you’re in the thick of motherhood, building a business, or navigating both, your health matters. And the more you honour that, the more everything else falls into place.
