I want your small business to be a success. Itâs time for you to dominate!
Hello you business owner, I see you and you need to know, you can’t just rely on word-of-mouth or hope your customers will find you. Eventually this strategy becomes saturated, you will only get a so far doing this and THEN, you need to be proactive and put some time and energy into creating a strategy.
There are many different ways to market your business, but not all of them are created equal.
You need to consider what your goals are, who are your target audience, and what kind of message you want to send. Otherwise, you’ll be wasting time and money on ways that simply don’t work. This is something I teach my members inside of my signature membership, Superhero Marketing.
The good news is, there are plenty of effective ways to market your business. It’s just a matter of finding the right ones that fit you and your business so it grows. Remember: just because it worked for someone else, does not mean it’s going to work for your business (NOTE: this is the worst marketing strategy you could ever implement).
Your grand plan
This is the difference between a business that flounders and one that flourishes. By taking the time to develop a detailed plan, you can identify who you’re talking to (your target market), create messaging that resonates with them specifically, and allocate your precious resources. Time is money and as a business owner, I’m almost certain, time isn’t your bestie right now! You’re wearing all the hats and probably going as fast as you can.
Today, having a marketing plan is no longer NOT an option – it’s essential for anyone who wants to succeed in their small business.
Have you created a need or a want?
Marketing is about you creating a need or want for your product or service.
A need or a want means having a fabulous understanding of who your clients are and what they’re looking for. Once you know this, you can develop a strategic marketing plan helping you reach your future clients (where they hang out the most) and achieve your business goals.
I donât want you to get all confused by this though, donât overthink it, itâs easier than you think. We tend to overcomplicate a lot of things as business ownersâŠand I think we need to stop.
Your small business needs to deliver jam packed valueÂ
The number one thing you need to remember and ask yourself every time you go to touch anything relating to promoting your business is: Am I creating and delivering value to my audience, customers and clients?
Your marketing strategy, is the plan for how your business will create and deliver value to your customers. Remember, itâs all in the value. Your marketing should be a mix including value around your service (or product), price, place, and promotion. (in techy marketing nerd terms â your 4 Pâs). Remember: Value Value Value.
The most effective way to reach your ideal audience
In order to create the life of your dreams, itâs super important for you to understand the âHOWâ in being able to market your products/services to your specific target market! Your audience are following you because they love what youâre putting out there and want to see you do well and help them along the way.
The most effective way to reach your people will vary depending on the type of business and the products or services you offer. A common approach is to use market research to identify your potential customers and then use marketing techniques such as advertising, promotions, and public relations to reach those people.
The most common way however is to use my love of social media to reach a larger audience. Whichever method you choose, it’s important to make sure your marketing messages are clear and they align with your business goals. By taking the time to develop an effective marketing strategy, you can ensure that your business is able to reach its full potential.
